I was a corporate insurance insider​. I spent decades of my career working for health insurers or consulting for them. I know how insurance works from the inside out. I watched the evolution of government programs like Medicare. I saw and understood more about insurance than the average person out there!

 

Then something unexpected happened. My elderly father fell while on vacation. He hit his head and was hospitalized with a traumatic brain injury. My sister and I were far away. My mother was alone. I scrambled to get the information, answers and resources we needed. And yes, I found myself, head in hand, thinking “Now What?”

 

If someone with decades of experience can’t navigate easily, how can anyone do it? There has to be another way.
