January is a too serious month

Happy 2026! I hope the new year is starting off right for you.
January is such a trip. You go from December with more cookies than should be able to exist in one house to grey, gloomy days staring at a computer screen. After parties and staying up late, you suddenly expect discipline and productivity to come naturally.
January is hard! It’s crazy how dull it can get. Here in Connecticut you never know if you’ll see sun, snow or ice. You can’t plan on getting out, because January. You can’t plan on seeing people, because January. You can't cancel to go out an play, because January. Ugh.
January is also an expensive month. Holiday bills arrive in the mailbox. Electric and heating bills are up. (When Connecticut gets sunny, it means it’s wicked cold out.) Then the property taxes are due. And as I write this, over 350 prescription drugs have already had price increases in 2026, averaging 4%. Ka-CHING.
I am beyond grateful for my circle of friends, my community, for keeping me sane. I am grateful to be financially secure. But not everyone is that lucky. I’ve got two events coming up to address that.
On Tuesday, January 27, at noon ET, I’ll be joined by my friend and former colleague, Enza Richards, owner of Envision Life Coaching. We’ll have a conversation about loneliness: what is it and how to address it, for yourself and your loved ones.

We will be recording the session for those who can't make that date. Click to sign up.
Want to save on Prescription Drugs?
Park Row Wealth Advisors is excited to invite you to an upcoming event with Lynn Bishel, Founder and Principal, of Bishel Consulting, LLC. She will be discussing how to save on your prescription drugs.
This informative session will begin with an overview of how prescription drug insurance works, including a translation of the terminology used by your insurance provider. We will explore strategies for maximizing savings within the rules of your plan. Then we’ll review savings programs available through the government and the broader pharmaceutical industry. Finally, we’ll cover the process for requesting exceptions and making appeals to get the coverage you need.
While this presentation will primarily focus on Medicare Part D, many of the strategies discussed will also be relevant to non-Medicare insurance plans.
Please RSVP for the event by January 27th, 2026. Email alexia.moronta@ampf.com to RSVP!
You don’t need to be a client of Park Row Wealth Advisors to participate.
